Strictly from a standpoint of what looks better to me, I think that a shiny blued 1911 with rosewood grips is about the best looking pistol on the planet. I dont know why, but stainless has never appealed to me very much although I have owned several in Inox or Stainless. WebApr 21, 2024 · 01. Finish Wear. Blued guns are fine on the range, but harsh weather and blood can damage the finish. The only way to deal with this is spot treat the blue finish. Stainless steel is far more durable. You’ll get less finish wear. It can still rust, but it is much more rust-resistant than a blued gun.

Both have cast frames. Except for SBH, SA grip frames are aluminum alloy in blued guns.
