The Spot price is determined by matching supply with Ontario's demand for electricity in the real-time market operated by the Independent Electrical System Operator. WebIf you qualify, the RPP offers pricing based on Time-of-Use (TOU) rates or Tiered rates. If you have an interval meter, you also have the option of being charged the Hourly Ontario Energy Price (HOEP). Some customers automatically qualify for RPP through their consumption or demand profiles. Others may be required to self-declare their eligibility.
