Web1 day ago · The SD-1 has got to be one of the most underrated ODs on the market (second only to the Digitech Bad Monkey perhaps). At $35-$40 it is an absolute steal. Stock, the pedal dose suffer a few drawbacks (the reason for only giving it 4 stars). #1 is sounds a bit muffled, you know the olf cliche of a "blanket over the speaker"? WebJun 19, 2024 · It's OD side is a lot brighter than an SD-1, which leads to the dreaded "nothing past 9 o clock on tone" that some BOSS pedals suffer from. The Distortion side to me sounds better than a stock DS-1, but again, nothing great. This pedal shines when you're blending the OD/DS, so the sweet spot is 11-2. If you can grab it cheap, go for it.

On a 1 to 10 scale of sheer shamelessness, this is a solid 7. There are a few differences.
